Hope ya'll got a good un this past season. I struck out. Heard one stinkin turkey on our lease, and that was the last week of season, and I'm perty sure it was a jake. I don't ever remember turkeys goin completely silent for a full season on our lease. and there were a few there, cause I saw there tracks. I even went to Missouri for a week. now there's some turkeys up there, but it was my first time up there and I really didn't know the best places to go. I went up there with my wife's first cousin who had been goin up there for several years. he got one the first mornin. I set up on two turkeys. somebody shot one of em, and the other I chased around for 2 hours before gettin close enough, and in a good position to call him in. he didn't like me at all! I called softly for a few minutes, he wouldn't come, I quit callin and scratched in the leaves, he wouldn't come, then I started cuttin at him, usin two different calls, wouldn't come, the last thing I tried was a fighten purr, while flappin my wing thing around like two turkeys fighten. that didn't do it either. so, how did ya'll do?
