This is the first chance i got to post now so here it is.
i limmited out i got both birds.
the first one was 16 lbs with a shot up beard.
he had 2 the long one was so messed up there was no chance in saving it. but he had a 3 in. or so second beard.
the next one was 22lbs with a 8in beard. both had spers of right at 1 1\4.
i called them both in with a knight and hail old yeallper slat both came with in 15yds.
the funny thing is they both mached the looks of a Ocicola insted of easterns. "they ant supost to be this highy up in Fl."
maybe mixed??
i called in my cousions first it looked like a eastern. it was 18lbs with a 7in beard and hardly no spires.

Congrats on the birds BT. You arnt too far from me. Im down on the coast about 20 miles south of Tallahassee. You probally did shoot an Osceola. The wildlife people had a hard time differentiating the pure EAstern and the Osceola as you moved further north so they drew a line in the sand and said "south of this line are osceolas and north of the line are easterns." "NUFF SAID!" Ive shot a couple of birds east of the St. Marks River that had all the markings and characteristics of the Osceola but are considered easterns due to the location.
