It's not lookin good. It just has not been a good spring for me. I've had trouble locating the gobblers and when I did they didn't want to listen to anything I had to say. How about you and the better half?

The better half did not get to go this year. Her mother has been in pretty bad shape. She had most of her small intestine removed due to a blood clot. She has been living with us the last 3 months.
Since my better half has not been out there killing all the turkeys I took advantage of the opportunity.

Surely you know turkeys don't get that big here in the mountains. They both came from around Lake Cumberland after fishing all night for stripers, banking the boat and turkey hunting. BTW, Black Mtn is a mess. They have stripped on the KY side all the way to the Sam's Ridge (River Ridge), close to where you camp.

I hate that. I was planning on taking a couple trips back there this year. It just wouldn't be right to go up there and listen to equipment running. I might try a trip or two on the L.S.T. I've always wanted to camp there but never have.
