Congrats Chris. looks like opening morning was good to you. I had to work and got company coming this weekend.  Probably be next weekend before I get to go unless I take some evening hunts. |

Sorry it took so long to get back. I set up on a old logging road and had 4 gobbling all around me. At day break everything stop gobbling. Then about 1 hour later 3 got to gobbling about 70 yard down the logging road. I gave a couple yelp and they hamered back about 40 yard over the ridge top the next thing I knew was all three topped the rise and was in full strut and spit and drumming at 25yard. I took the lead bird. The rest was history.
I went this morning and had two bird come behind my set up no luck. I went down the logging road about 200 yard and set up on another one he came up to my left side being a lefty I could get turned around no luck their. I when back this evening to another spot and had 2 gobblers at full strut at 50-60 yard I just didn't feel like it was the right shot but I watch them go to roost for in the morning. This is the most fun I have had in a long time ;D

well congrats on a great bird.....if i scored it right you're at 60.5.....which puts you in the lead. ;D
i'll do all the official scoring at a later date.
