This is the first time in 8 years that I have missed a turkey. And at 35 yards. In the open. Standing still. With his neck stretched out. If I had been bowhunting I could think of a million excuses. Yea, with his lightning like reflexes the old bird jumped the shot and the pellets went right over him,,,,or a twig got in the way. I setup perfect, called him in perfect, and just blew the shot. And after 3 hard days of hunting the same bird. floridasportsman.com/art/nopity.gif [/img] Ok I'll quit crying about it and move on. I did make a plaque though to display my empty 3" shell. I made sure it was big enough to add a few more in the future. In all honesty though it was a great hunt. It did make me realize once again that bagging the bird isnt why I do it.

Yeah i can mark up a miss for me too .. I bought me a new comp n choke for my 10 ga xxx full for number 6's , but did not pattern it ... Huh big mistake . At 20 yards where the big ol red head was , i missed . Well i took my gun back home and patterned it , and at 20 yards it shoots like a slug , just a big ol hole no pellets around it . Well to make a long story short next time i'm shotting at 40 , gonna bust that sucker for he gets to close . ;D
