The Remington Hevi-shot didn't pattern as well as the Win.HV 1-3/4oz.#5/#6 loads out of my Rem. 870 SPS-T w/truGlo .665 StrutStopper tube. My brother had the same results. We're both shooting the Win.HV loads this season.

Chris, I have tried the Rem. and Nitro hevi-shoot. I used to shoot Win. copper plated shot. Both the hevi-shot loads patterned as good or better than the lead shot but what convinced me was the penetrating ability. I did a test between the Rem HS and the Win copper-plated shot. I was shooting a target stapled to a 1" white pine board, Both #5 shot at 40 yards, the Win. shot penetrated about half way thru the board with no complete pass thru. On the other hand about half the pellets from the HS splintered the back side of the board pretty good and the ones that did'nt go all the way thru was buried alot deeper in the board.
