I'D SAY THE OSCEOLA BY FAR....EVEN THOUGH I'VE NEVER GONE AFTER ANY OTHER TYPE...I JUST KNOW THEY ARE HARD.

Any of the swamp birds, wheather the Osceola or the Eastern are harder to hunt than the dry terrain birds. I hunt the low country swamps and the oakridges, in SC, and prefer the swampbirds for the added challenge. They are in a class by themselves!!!!

Ive only hunted easterns. But the ones in my area are some pretty stubborn birds. I think thick woods turkeys tend to be more wary because of the terrain.

I've only hunted Easterns in Ga., SC, and Fl. and Osceola's in SW Fl... of those the pubic land swamp osceola is by far more difficult..just because it will go in such thick stuff.

Never hunted nothin but easterns, but if Osceola are harder, then I'd love the chance to try and call one in shotgun range. or even better, bow range. I'd also love to kill a Merriam, their the pertiest of all the tukeys.
