Their are so many some are harder than others and they truly have a different sound to each one ran. I like the purpleheart wood for glass and a softer wood for slate hickory or maple. JMO ;D

I need something with alot of rasp so I can feel it in my hand when I call. I like purpleheart and cocobola too.

For a slate call, I like Walnut and for a Glass call, I like Purpleheart.
I carry a Walnut, Purpleheart, Cherry and Hickory striker
