I like the mouth calls the best! H.S.STRUT split v 3 & 4 seem to sound the best but I hear the limb hanger by Primos is a good one too. I also am fond of Glass calls too.

I like the diaphrams. I like the Spit v IIIs too, but I sound best with a WoodHaven Custom Calls Stinger Pro Series CLASSIC V3 I have several friction calls I carry with me too though.

I started in 1960, with a DD Adams slate w/Walnut peg. Used that call for years and took plenty of mature birds from the swamps of SC. Graduated on up to a Lynch's box. Had a growth in the top of my mouth and didn't get into mouth calls until after I got dentures; about 1984. I still have to have a slate/glass call ready eventhough I may be working a bird with the box or mouthcall. If I had to choose just 1 call; I'd have to use a glass call w/acrylic peg for all weather conditions. I now use only custom calls....

Bo, I had to find some other people to talk turkey with. The same growd in more than one forum leads to repeats in all of them. Found this place and saw some names I've seen in other places and registered. Glad to see you're here. Can't remember which forum we responded on before. Some other names are familiar as well. Later, Dave
