There is a very healthy white tail herd in the City of Calgary,a city of over a million people. One particular herd in the south of the city has two B&C bucks,I see them every now and then. There have been deer and even moose in the city since I can remember when.

They're all over certain parts of Austin too. Folks get mad when the deer eat their flowerbeds, but the granolas wouldn't let them bowhunt to thin the herds so they decided to trap and move them.
I heard the mortality rate was about 50% on the move.

Ya the shock kills the piss out of them. A guy at work had a pet doe. His wife and her daughters were the only ones it would let mess with it. Me, him, jamie, and russell caught it and took it to his new house when he moved.... The strain was more than she could take. I think she lived about 2 weeks after we moved her. She was about 3 years old.
