Just found out the dates of hunting seasons in Fl. and Ga. Opening weekend of rifle season in Ga is also Opening weekend of bow season in Fl. To top it off it is also our wedding aniversary and opening day of general gun season in Fl is my wifes birthday. Somebody help me figure out away to get some hunting in this year.

Sneak out before she wakes up. Go hunting first than deal with the butt whipping! BTW what is the date for the gun season opener in GA this year, not that I'll be going dog hunting.

Actually my wife is great, I always hunt on her birthday and annivesary even spent the last 4 days of our honeymoon in Ga. hunting. But I had promised her since I have been working so much this spring I would do something with her for her birthday and anniversary this year. SH opening day in both zones is Oct. 16.

The Ga/Fla thing is a conspiracy to keep the numbers down for us Georgia gun hunters. It's your fault though for marrying a woman on her birthday whose birthday is during hunting season. What were you thinking?!?!?!?! At least you got both together instead of missing 2 hunting days.

For me the conspiracy is working overtime out of town. I wonder why I even bother with a hunting liscense anymore. I hear ya about the conspiracy, I suspect we all have them.

:-/Looks like Oct. 17 th and Nov. 26th are going to be your hunting days. I guess while Im over here saying "look,, DEER"! You'll be saying "Yes DEAR". You could tell your wife you're changing your anniversary to the date you proposed to her. I think you're stuck with the birthday though. Unless you can convince her that a birthday should actually be celebrated on the day she was concieved. What the he&*. Thats the way the Koreans do it. ;D On your anniversary night. Wait until she falls asleep then pop in a deer hunting video. That should get you through it. Seriously though. Spend some good quality time with her and show her that you are willing to sacrifice everything else that you enjoy to spend time with her on these days. Then toss her to the curb and hunt like he#$ the rest of the season. My anniversary is July 1st and my wifes birthday is the same day as mine,, July 19th. When hunting season gets here im free as a bird. Good luck. Hope everything works out.

Hey dave I think I'll manage a few days of hunting between Sept. 11 when bow season in Ga. starts and Feb 27 when primative weapons goes out here in N.W. Fl. You'll have to come down again this year, went and filled two feeders up last week and saw lots of hog sign, gonna try and slip down for a couple of hours Friday see if I can stick a pig.

I used to be able to hunt from Sept. to February but the last few years I tend to burn out by the end of December. I'll definatly take you up on that hog hunt. Im still waiting to shoot that first hog. During the turkey season I had hogs running all over me down at Flint Rock. I even had a huge boar knawing on a tree 15 ft. from my blind. Good luck. I hope you stick one.
