Dear Fellow Members: I'm posting today on behalf of the United Special Sportsmen Alliance (USSA),a grassroots, non-profit organization based in Pittsville, WI, thatcoordinates with other organizations across the U.S. in fulfilling dream wishes for terminally ill and disabled children. If you know of any severely ill or disabled youngsters that would like to go on a free hunting, fishing, camping or canoeing trip, please contact us, and we will try to fulfill the children's wish. Our goal is to turn no child away, regardless of illness or disability. We try to match each child to the adventure most appropriate to their desires and abilities, and have been fortunate enough to serve over 200 children so far. We are also seekingguides, outfitters, lodge and preserve owners willing to donate their time and facilities to our cause, as well as individual memberships to help us with fund our children's trips. We are a 501(3)(C) charity (i.e. all donations are tax deductible), and no one in our organization accepts financial compensation of any kind for the work we do. . For more information, please contact me at (847) 676-8424, or USSA's founder and president Brigid O'Donoghue at (800) 518-8019. Our current web site is located a www.deerfood.com, and is being re-designed and relocated to www.childswish.com, thanks to the generosity of Steve Huber at OutdoorFrontiers.com. Thank you for your time and consideration, and best of luck in the field this season. Eric B badland4@earthlink.net

Well thank you, Huntress. As the father of a happy, healthy little 10-year-old sportsman myself, I count my bessings every day. You'd be amazed at how many people have reached out - even if it's in little ways - to help these ill and disabled kids. I'll post a notice as soon as the new, professionally designed web site goes up (courtesy of Steve Huber at OutdoorFrontiers.com), and maybe you can stop by for a look.
In the meantime, if you know of any deserving kids in your area that would like to go on a trip, please let me know!
Eric
