Hello folks...just found this site and it looks to be a great place with some good people. I am proud to say that my 8 yr old took his first deer last Sat. on opening day here in MS. I only got a doe so far, but hey them does make good jerky too. He is still wide open  from excitement, here are the details. 8 point 176# 15" wide 7 1/2" G-2's .410 shotgun @ 55 yds.  |

its nice to see people sitting behind a buck and not a doe and a kid to,there i go again,hard to get it out of me.real nice deer for that kid.hope other kids get to shoot a buck and learn how to trail a buck and what a buck footprint looks like. great thing for that kid.

Hunter says thanks to everyone. I explained to him that there would be more days of hunting than harvesting...but I don't think that is on his mind right now. There is no better feeling in the world than having your kid harvest his first deer and you being by his side and seeing the joy of the hunt in his eyes. I have to say that it gives the parent a big chest also....;D Good luck to all this season  |
