Gotta go out tomorrow and do some bigtime scouting. It's buck only in the zone I'll be hunting so hopefully I'll find some good sign and nail one with the rifle next weekend. Bow season hasn't been very productive so far.  |

man..I would be going completely NUTS having to wait this long to rifle hunt..can you believe ours has been open since sept 15th in this game zone but the middle of August in the game zone below mine

Got out fri. and scouted the land we bought and some of the other land nearby that we have permission to hunt. found 3 scrap about 20 yard apart in a old log road which I am thinking about bow hunting this week. I shot my Browning Sat. could get it to hold a pattern worth a crap. So I called around and found a left handed BDL Rem. 270 for sale and when and bought it that even. I going to shot it after work and set the scope. I hope it cool up by this weekend.

well it's been hotter than the henges on the gates of hell down here and I ain't did to bad...just gotta sit alittle longer in the stand is all...all the bucks my processor has taken have been in the middle of the day too...gotta think positvie Nitro...you'll get'em  |

It was hotter for deer opener here than it was most of dove season. That just ain't right.

I cant wait till saturday morning Nitro an Chris the weather is gonna be hotter than usual but hell im happy if im huntin.lol Any way its gonna be hard for me this weekend regardless of the weather I've been on crutches for 2weeks an I dont think I'll be off them by saturday but im a DIEHARD DEER HUNTER an im goin anyways.lol

I sure am glad to see the weather change for this weekend its gonna help us out I do believe the bucks are starting to run the does pretty good I went to my hunting spot an scouted a lil bit today because I hadnt been huntin in about 2weeks do to blowing my knee out, anyways I saw about 20 deer 4 of them being pretty good bucks chasing does in an out of a field Im really looking forward to being in the woods in the morning an gettin a shot hopefully.

Opening day luck fell apon me today guys I bagged a nice 6point about 11:00 this morning, he was chasin does wild an I was fortunate enough to get a great shot on him he didnt 15yards..
Anyone else have any luck?
