Thanks guys, really.. Ive learned more here the little time ive been to the site than I have in the past years trying to get answers out my brothers and dad. Some reason they dont take me seriously.
My brother is the one who finally took me hunting a year ago, (im 24, and ive been begging my dad since i was 5yrs old) well his wife made him because she saw how much i wanted to go. And now im with them every time they go out.
But now i go to his house everyday with new info ive learned off of here and sharing it with him, and he takes me serious finally. All we do is talk hunting.
But i just wanted to say thanks.. i mean it Yall will be the first to know once i bag my dream, which is currently any buck i can knock down.. lol
oh by the way, i almost got my first deer of the season, via truck.. a doe shot across the road infront of my truck tonight.. so i slowed down.. now if it had a rack...... hehe

Thats cool about you getting to talk hunting with your dad and all but kind of sad he never took you as a young'n.. Well you get to make up for it now gal. I hope your first buck is a wall hanger, but if not it will still be special being your first and all...you go gal! Heck I get buck fever when a doe walks out on me.. I still swear they can hear my heartbeat...sometimes I feel like it's gonna beat right out my chest ;D I'm glad you are learning alittle around here...some of the info though you gotta take with a grain of salt can't wait to see the pic and hear the story of your first buck...gotta be careful with the deer this time of year especially around dawn and dusk running in the road... I hear ya about "if it had a rack" I punched the gas on my driveway (which is sand) when a monster stepped out in front of me and duck a few years back on our way hom from the processors..didn't do nothing but bout bury it to the axles good luck on bag'n a big'un!

Natalie, my dad didn't deer hunt because his dad didn't take him. So I learned what I know from a few people and from experience. Be as proud of a doe as you are a buck. The animal deserves that. And be careful about getting one with your truck, that could be an expensive way to fill the freezer. Good luck and we'll look forward to updates from your season.

Glad you like it here Natalie.....We're glad to have you. We may not be the biggest hunting forum that's out there but I honestly feel that we have one of the most honest and helpful bunch of folks around. I wish you the best in all of your hunting adventures and look forward to seeing the pics of your first deer.
