has anyone else swapped from the original cap nipple to the 209 primer nipple in theirs and if so what are the results when hunting??? I just swapped mine over and was wondering about how it is gonna perform as I'm gonna get to finally shoot it tomorrow before the season starts Saturday. I shoot a 50 cal. and it has been doing a good job with the cup type caps but I think the 209 primers may be better.

I made the Change in my Knight last year, and like it much better.

Dad is going to do that after our first ML season, plus you dont have to worry about the hesitation you have with caps sometimes and you can use triple 7 or pyrodex pellets...... Dad's Knight wont ignite them with caps.

I switched from #11's to the 209's in my Remington a few years ago. It will shoot differently with the hotter 209 primers. I think that is because the caps are hotter, and ignites the powder better. My gun really tightened up the patterns with the hotter primers.
