Well it's finally over, glad to be back home from a good hunt. We only killed two white tails.I killed a pretty big doe and filled my supplemental doe tag.I missed a cranker buck on sunday night.Caught him feeding on the edge of a cutblock at about 7 p.m. I could see his rack at over 400 yards with my eyes. When I put the binos on him I bout had a heart attack.Couldn't get an accurate count but I put him at a 10 point. He fed down the edge and I pegged him at about 350 yards, wrong ,it was more like 430 yards. When I got to where he was I was able to get a range from where I shot and found out how short I was.I sat that cut block for four more nights but to no avail. We couldn't find an elk anywhere, neither could anyone else, not an elk was taken the whole ten days we were up there.Saw a boat load of moose, had a young bull walk out in front of me at ten yards and stand there and look at me.Guess he knew I didn't have a tag. I'll post a pic of that doe I killed on the doe contest thread tomorrow.Pretty tired and worn out,so I'll post more on the trip later.

Thanks DS. Here's the nanny I shot on thursday evening. It was a 200 yard shot into a cut block with my 30-06 using a 165gr spitzer. She was quartering away from me,the bullet took out two ribs, her heart and her neck, her head was down when I busted a cap on her.
