Well fellas. Im new here so thought I would introduce myself. I have been on many other forums (mathewsinc, archery outdoors) but this looks like a good place as well and couldnt resist. My real name is TimRussell and I live and hunt in Northeastern NC. I have been raised here all my life, around guns, hunting, and the great outdoors. I have hunted with dogs and a gun since I was 6 and to me there isnt a better song to hear on a cold winter morning during gun season. A pack of deer hounds racing through the southern timber is music to my ears. I simply love it. Every deer I have ever killed including my biggest yet, a basket 7pointer, was being run by dogs. I wont make this long but I also have taken up bowhunting recently and about the only two ways Ill hunt now is with dogs or with a bow. Our bowseason comes in next Saturday and I am so pumped I cant stand it. Cant wait. Yall takemeasy and have a goodun and I look forward to posting here in the future.-tim

Shot my bow wallago after we finished up planting full draw behind the house, and I am still dead on right on out to 40 yards. I am tickled to death with it and cant wait for Sept 10th cus Ill be sitting in a tree stand. I think I am just gunna dove hunt around here this Saturday and then take my safety harness, pull rope, and feed block on over to my stand that afternoon and that way all I gotta do is climb in and hunt next Saturday. Hopin to put a big one in the freezer early and if that fails for bowseason turn the hounds out in October.-tim

I'm in NE SC, so we could be close enough to go on a hunt together...I like hearing the dogs on one too..but I still hunt here...go with my bro down to Lee county to hear the dogs run

Welcome cuz. It's good to see another dog-hunter here. I still hunted for most of my life until I started dog-hunting about 5 years ago. I don't care if I ever climb another tree.

I will agree with that unless Im bowhunting and I cant hunt from the ground like that. We shot doves today most of the afternoon and had a blast, it was just awsome.-tim
