I thought long and hard about posting this but felt it may have value.
I operate a retail web site and regularly send out emails to other animal related site for the purpose of trading links. This helps search engine status. You will find below an email I sent a the response below. There are some truly whacked out people out there.

Subject: Could we be link partners?
Hi,
I visited your www.furryfriendsfoundation.com website and feel that your
animal/wildlife focus aligns well with my site, which is focused on animals. I
believe that as a result of the alignment people coming to my site will also be
interested in yours. Our site is www.choiceaccessories.com we are the designer
and manufacturer for quality animal images. Our products including Jewelry,
Ringtones, Wildlife Patches and real life sound stuffed animals. We are
dedicated to finding, manufacturing and distributing, high quality unique and
exclusive wildlife products that we market through the Internet and outfitting
stores. Browse our pages. This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
So, would you be interested in trading links?
I've added your website's listing to my link directory:
www.choiceaccessories.com/partners.htm.
The listing is in the animal care theme at this page:
www.choiceaccessories.com/animalcare.htm.
My website is:
www.choiceaccessories.com/.
Response:
Mark,
Are you kidding me? Furry Friends Foundation in NO WAY wants to be linked to your site. Your site is loaded with pro hunting crap, pro fishing crap and pro killing animal crap in general. There will be no "beautiful friendship" - your merchandise is disgusting and offensive and your little philosophies tacked on your pages are vile. Why would anybody involved in animals rescue want to be involved with you - linked or otherwise - is a mystery to me. You have quite some nerve putting a link to a no-kill animal shelter up on your site. Take it off and don't contact us again. I'm not thanking you for doing it, I expect it will be done.
