Poor old gal. That's a darn shame that she can't use her own property however she wants.

if the deer was on her property then more power to her but if it wasn't (even by a foot) then she got what she deserves.

Hi All, Now I'll bet if it was your hunt she ruined you would not be so suportive having had a stalking outing ruined delibrately by some nature lovers who allowed their dogs to cross the boundary by a long way to chase Deer! Just to spoil our stalk, They spotted us on the track through a plantation on the estate and came on over to see what they could do to interfear. Me I was livid, the stalker who I had the pleasure of paying for his time talked to them and told them they were in the wrong, to which they said oh dogs will be dogs. Me i told them that they would be dead dogs, legally so as they were illegally chasinf Deer and on anothers property so can be shot for it. nxt time I saw on the property chasing Deer I would personally shoot the damn things Funny how they got upset at that the stalker who also happens to be a Police officer pointed out that I was right and they shut up, ruined a whole morning, we had quietly moved to a postion to ambush some deer when this happened.

I think it's a violation of a Federal law now to harrass hunters while they are hunting.
They arrested a few last year too.

If I read this story right it they were trying to shoot a deer on her property? If it was her property than they were paoching and got what they deserved. Now if she were some PETA nut running around interfering with legal hunting activities I say lock her up and throw away the keys. Refer to the constitution to understand my first post in reference to this woman being mugged by the state for protecting her own property.

Hi All, Poaching is not to be condoned in any way, No way. Actually I love dogs, I have Staffordshire Bull Terrier, but dogs and Curs are two different things, both the dogs and the people were curs in this case both deserve to be put down! Here in the UK we have a problem with illegal Hare coursing and Coursing for Deer, very seldom is it possible to re-habilitate the Dogs trained for this, the only option for the Stalker/gamekeeper is to shoot them, most would rather shoot the people but that's not leagal, it's like when dogs go worrying sheep, the dog will be shot most likely, and if caught and handed over to the police, most likely put down. Coursers are in it for the money, Venison is sold, and the Hare course is filmed and then taken around certain areas where betting (illegal) takes place and huge sums are involved, a dog which gets tired and pulls up(stops trying hard) will be tied to the nearest imovable object and left to starve As I said scum! It's like a ball point pen that's run out thrown away with not even a thought except maybe a few curses and even a good beating before being abandoned. If the dog is lucky it may be taken from the scene to be dumped from a high speed moving vehicle on the Motorway, where there is the chance it may be found by some one who cares! That is if it survives the injuries and other traffic. In a lot of cases involved in this is "townies", folks who have never lived in the rural/country areas and try to impose their town mentalities on everyone else, spoiling some ones hunting is just one way they try to do it. Likewise their dogs are only having fun the fact that their lovely little pooch has just ripped a fawn to bits out of their sight is niether here nor there, the blood must be form a small cut somewhere, or the fact that they have chased and distressed a pregnant Doe so it now miscarries the young is something they don't see, and Oh no dear little fluffly would never do that

i can see a dog that is left to chase deer and is not a hunting dog. that is wrong, i agree. but there are nuts out there that will shoot a hunting dog, beagle, pointer, lab etc. that is being used to hunt rabbits or grouse. they sometimes take after a deer if the doe is in heat.that happens. i know a local guy here that shot 2 beagles chasing a deer.the owner was 81 years old and hunting rabbits when a deer jumped up and beagles trailed them. they even had bright orange collars on. if you see a wild dog doing this left to run ,thats something else but a hunting dog can make a mistake.that elderly man was heart broken. i think thats what caused him to get sick and pass away 2 years ago.i saw the dead dogs, gastly .
