until tonight...somebody told me once that if a woman tinkles while she is..how can I put this..ah yes..having her period that it will attract deer...well Carol did it tonight right in the middle of the driveway..well her back starts hurting so she gets down and comes home for a bath...well about the time the deer start moving good in the evening is about the Carol can no longer see...night blindnesss I guess...well anyway I have to walk past her stand to and from my stand..I hear a few deer walking in the woods around me about dark..to dark to shoot so I get down and stat my way back to the house...well I get 50 feet from Carols stand and there are deer blowing all around me...I couldn't believe it...I get home and Carol told me what she did...lord have mercy..I should have never said anything to her about that now she will be running around the woods pissing everywhere ;D

LMAO  All jokes aside...I used to raise and rehabilitate(sp?) deer for the DWFP...they would bring fawns after their mother got killed on the road or such and we would raise them to the age of release or to be placed in a zoo or wildlife research facility. The method that mudfish speaks of is true....when my wife was on her cycle she could not go near the deer lot...the bucks especially would go berzerk. It works on all deer, both does and bucks. I once told a friend of mine about this and he placed some urine on a drag and took his largest buck ever...go figure |

This discussion came up recently at my bro-in-laws house. His wife (an avid deer hunter herself) stated that every buck she has killed was during 'that time of the month".
I don't know if it was the scent or that she was grumpy & wanted to kill something. ;D
Also the discussion came up about estrus doe scents that you buy in the store. Someone had read that only 1 bottle out of 500 may actually contain estrus doe urine. The other bottles are just plain old deer piss.
