THE OPENER IS ON MONDAY THE 24TH HERE IN PA. COME HERE AND TRY IT,WE HAVE THE MOST BEAR IN THE COUNTRY, NO NEED TO GO TO CANADA.YOU HAVE 3 DAYS TO GET ONE.I HAD 4 IN MY YARD,1 WENT 400 PDS OR SO.MOUNTAINS HERE ARE BEAUTIFUL.I WILL HELP YOU WITH INFO IF YOU NEED IT, GOOD LUCK

i have some bear spray if you need it....not too many around here but need it for the cows. ;D

we had 57 bear killed here in clinton county,pa.on thew first day24th.many went 400 pds and 1 was 554 pds.i had 4 in my yard a week ago and have not seen them . i think they went to bed early. i found one sleeping in the side of a cabin when i was hunting grouse with toby my 11 month old lab pup.he went in after her. she had cubs .i yelled[toby, cookie] out he came, oh my.i have a lot of hunting storys to tell, i may tell a bedtime story once in awhile here, if no one complains?the memories that kids today will not have is sad.oh well,good hunting!

IT WAS DOWN THIS YEAR DO TO NO ACORNS HERE,we had 167 last year the first day for total of 227 bears.if anyone wants to come here i can help you with phone no.s and motel etc. motel is 40 dollars a night,meals 4 dollars for breakfest etc.some cheaper. hunting license is 105 dollars but you can hunt deer too next week with the same license and bear permit..to be truthful as i am, deer are not to many here unless you are on private land .i have deer on private but i hunt public land as i was raised there and have those memories.so, come and give it a try ,you wont be sorry, best mountains here,snow on top today and none down in the bottom. also you can call camps in the summer and rent camps for a week too. you [must] do this in summmer to make reservations for bear season,if not you wont get the camp.

i had a good scare tonight.bear season is over. my dog was barking in the yard and i went out to get him to stop. i got to him and bent over to unhook his collar. it then dawned on stupid me,what is he barking at?well, 10 ft from me was a bear i bet was 600 pds,biggest i have ever seen and i know my bear weights after watching weighting over a hundred bears at the check station. oh my,that was scary.

boy, did we get some big bears here in pa. this year. 3 went 864 pds,wow.and i thought that 600 pd one i saw in my yard after season closed was big,hmmmm.we took around 200 in my area here.biggest was 642.

So how in the heck do you get an 800 pound bear out of the woods? For that matter, how in the heck do you get a 600 pound bear out of the woods? Where geographically is this county you live in? What part of the state? Do they allow bow hunting for them?

yes,you can use bow on the bear .bear season opens the monday of thanksgiving each year.its 3 day hunt. bear license is 16 dollars to hunt.out of state license is 105 dollars but you can hunt deer with that license too and turkeys etc.motels are around 45 dollars a night but most stay at camps in the area.our county is [clinton] in pa. [lycoming] was first this year,we were second.these are black bears not grizzly,funny some are as big ,ha. we have the biggest bears in the world here. 2 in [pike] county went 864 pds,1 in [monroe] county went 824 pds.i will see if i can get any pics .
