I love my Advantage and Advantage Timber. They just seem to suit my hunting areas better because I tend to hunt hardwood areas.

Factory seconds at Walls. I can usually get pants for $7-$10/pair and shirts for $5-$10. Normally they are Advantage or Hardwoods patterns but I mostly just use camo for dove hunting.
I painted the inside walls of my blind black to keep the reflected light down. I usually just wear a black long-sleeved pullover and jeans or maybe camo pants depending on the outside temperature.

I guess I like Realtree but only because Bill Jordan is a Georgia Boy. I don't think camo makes that much difference. Went hunting last week right from work. I was wearing jeans & a navy 'golf' shirt with steel toe boots. I just threw on my orange vest. Besides the color of my clothes, I smelled awful (I work at a paper mill). Had the wind at my face & had a doe walk out about 200yrds. She looked in my direction then walked directly away (as I expected her to) toward a feeding area. To me it's more about wind & being still.

ITs going to be Asat camo. I saw a hunter wearing it last week and it worked awesome. This guy was walking with another fella and when I first saw them they were just standing there. I saw the man in the mossy oak camo first and he stood out like a sore thumb. I didnt see the other guy until he moved. Lots of the new style Realtree, Mossyoak, etc. looks good but I dont think it is as effective as some of the more radical breakup styles such as Predator or ASat or even skyline. I just ordered a set of Asat leafy camo and am planning to do alot of ground hunting this year. I'll let ya'll know how it performs in a couple of months.

for deer hunting ,you dont need camo . i hung from trees for 30 years and on the ground the most and never needed it.we did wear dark clothing but i made a test one year .i wore complete orange. the derr walked right by me and never saw me.i was in the open too with my back against a tree.now for turkeys, you better have the camo on,thats for sure.i think camo is a mind thing on deer, you think your hid from deer ,this makes you feel better. again , i tested orange and the [deer] cant see it.

I agree....using the wind is the best camo...it amazes me to see people in all orange up a tree with snow everywhere...talk about standing out...you could see the hunter a mile away, but then theres a huge buck right near him...amazing

Can you see me NOW? OK, so maybe the pattern doesn't have to blend in all that well. My favorite for early season is my Skyline Apparition Green. Later on I switch to plain old Apparition or Advantage wools. I also like the Hardwoods design but think it blobs a bit. The Skyline Horizon is good on cloudy late season days and as a snowflage... although I have a Snowflage pattern too.
