I love both my climbers. I have an API grand slam supreme and a Summit Viper Extreme. Both are so comfortable. I don't mind gettting in the tree an hour or so early, gives me a chance to take a cat nap, but I won't try that in anything but those 2 climber because they are totaly closed in and both sit like a recliner.

As far as climbers go, I love my Warren & Sweat Cottonwood. It is comfortable & easy to use.
I bought a Hunter's View 'popup' blind this year. It is the way to go for portability & consealment. Works well if you take a small child hunting. (Keeps them on the ground & hides their movement.)
I hate stands that have no railing. hanging stands & ladders are my least favorite. They usually have no back rest.

My homemade ladderstands are my favorite. Heavy as heck and almost a two-man job to set up but oh how comfortable.

Ilike my summit stand but I have been using my Gunslinger stand more. It is like a Tree Lounge except it faces the tree.

i have used a lot of them in 30 years. they keep getting better.in pa. you [have] to keep on the move to get a big buck.so you need a stand you can move quick.or have a bunch of them in different locations. our deer are crafty and recieve a lot of pressure.so, you can sit for days and not see a deer.you must keep on the move do to pressure on state forest lands.so, the [only] stand that is worth anything now is the [treesuit] i just finished testing it. it takes awhile to learn how to use it.you are facing the tree with it. advantage of it is you can take it down and it wraps around your waist.no weight to carry.it is quiet going up a tree.you dont have to look for a straight tree, you can go up any tree bent or crooked[thats] the big advantage.also the position your in you are [more] conceled than other stands because you are against the tree.the parts i did not like is ,i would have put foam on the seat. the climber that is option is to heavy,i dont like it. i would use a climber from your api or summit stand.i was surprised that it was comfortable as you are not leaning or sitting against the back of a tree. some dont like a tree in front of your site but i likeit. it keeps the wind off you that way.i have not been in it for 8 hours in one spot so i dont know how you would feel in it that long.the [tree lounge ,by far, is the most comfortable one i have ever tested. its only bad thing, its [heavy] and you better get up real high because a deer will pick you out in that tree lounge.do to our [heavy] woods here in pa. you dont want above 12ft in any tree here.if you do you will not see anything do to low branchs of our[oaks].i watch those shows with people up 25 ft in the air. i have to laugh. we used to hunt no higher than 10 ft here in pa. all my life and very few deer winded you.i go up 12 ft,max.deer walk right under my stand. sorry i talked so much but to get a 18 inchto 20 inch spread buck here ,you [must] be mobile.good hunting

so far so good, flihuntress.they make it look easy to turn around if a deer sneaks up on you from behind. i have not been able to test that on a deer yet.when you are sitting in a stand ,you just turn and look around the tree.i dont know how this is going to do?also you will have to move more ,i think than if you are in a stand.i dont have to much of problem on this as i usually have a idea by the wind what direction a big buck will come from . he [always] puts his nose into the wind so i always set my stand against the wind. if the wind changes, i change my position. this is what is neat about this stand.you can turn in the tree when you are up there.a fixed stand you cant but has not been a problem. i think you should use another step on the opposite side of the climber then you can swing you feet around while the deer is coming from behind you. they say no problem but if you are not up to high , that deer could see you move. it may take me awhile to see if i can turn areound and not spook the deer. i will try it on some does if i am lucky enough to see any this year on state forest lands.

i am really liking this treesuit stand, you know its neat on getting around limbs.then you can set it up [under the linbs after you climb above them.neat. i went up 10 ft then hit those big limbs .i wanted to be above the limbs so i raised the climber up high, crawled up over limbs and reset my treesuit above them and i had limbs above me again. so i was 12 ft and hidden real good with big limbs for my fett and it covered my outline to. i think this is neat.you cannot do trhis with a regular trrestand as you would not have the head room to stand or sit.my real test is going to be how long i can sit in the seat.it seems comfortable.i like the treeinfront of me also, some dont but i do.i dont know yet whee i will put my gun? you can move around the tree in about 10 seconds. it takes practice to use this stand but i can move it from tree to tree without worrying if the tree is crooked or limbs or straight etc. i am impressed so far. but it takes lots of [practice] to get used to it. the climber is great but i would have made it lighter.

I like all 12 of mine. I use them all. I have 4 lockons that i place strictly in bedding areas. 3 lockons i setup in transition areas. 2 climbers (Homemade) that I leave out in the woods the entire season that are situated way out in the swamp. 1 climber (tree lounge) that I use for all day hunting. 1 climber (API grandslam) That I use most because its very quiet to setup and fairly light. 1 climber (summit) that I use to move around for bowhunting. Make that 13 stands. I have the TREE SUIT that I use when Im scouting and happen upon a good spot. Then when the season ends I have to spend an entire weekend hauling these things out of the woods.
