Way to go NASCAR. A great race was goining down and NASCAR goes and screws it all up. Damn I can rember the good old days of one and two lap cautions, boy those days are history. It used to be that once clean up once compleated the green came back out.
I propose two new cautions. The Mike Helton Caution. This is like the competition caution thrown at 40 laps but will be thrown on a random lap number decided by lottery. This new caution will run 20 laps and allow everybody to stop several times, nascar to play with the scoring and Mike Helton gets to make up a new rule or a ruling on an existing rule.
Next we will have the shootout caution. This will be thrown with about 20 laps to go and will last until a small enough amount of laps are left to ensure a sprint to the finish. This will be thrown when the field is in the order that NASCAR wants for the shootout.
NASCAR needs to get it in their head that the fans are there to see a race not NASCAR. We want racing. We don't want some dungeon master decision from the head shed. I know it is kinda tacky but the beer cooler to the flag stand was one of the better moves I saw yesterday.

With all of the caution flags slowing everything down, I couldn't see most of the second half of the race. I had it on the radio though and it seemed like they went on forever.
What happened to red flagging a race to complete the cleanup and giving a green flag finish?
