I'll let you know. The wife is heading out for the weekend and I took tomorrow afternoon off to take the daughter to cup qualifying. We bought her a set of earphones and I've got earplugs to go under those. A small cooler will carry everything that she will need, which doesn't cover all of the stuff she'll want.
I'm looking forward to it but I'm wondering how she'll take the noise. She loves the cars and I see kids there every time I go. She's excited to go...We'll see.
Only 45 minutes over there, but it's a lot of time and effort if she decides it's too loud. Or, I may be buying another ticket to the IRL race in June.

She was pretty cool with it. She got bored about halfway through but then I started shoveling the string cheese and pringles and juice at her. Now she probably thinks I just go there to eat. Heh, actually I just go to drink beer. ;D Then she waved at the drivers and played with the binoculars and she was fine. The headphones alone weren't quite enough for the noise. I put the foam earplugs in her ears and then the headphones over them and that was ok.
I did get some pics - some of us and some of the cars (1 or 2 for Fl, if they turn out.). I'll get 'em up when I get the disk back.
We lost the truck for awhile. Everytime I've ever been out there, I see d.a.'s who didn't pay attention to where they parked. Now I'm a member of that club.
