They've decided to go with the 10 race play off system. man oh man! all the drivers are against it, all the fans are against it. they did say if it didn't work, they would go back to the regular points system. who knows, it might be alright. just have to wait and see,.

It will never work. But those last 10 races should be pretty exciting.

A play off system is stupid. If you want to give greater value to winning a race, give more points for doing so.

This is plain stupid. Colledge football needs a playoff not racing. In my opinion NASCAR's point system was about the best out there. Having raced before I can personally say it is a hell of alot harder to be consistant than to win. NASCAR's point system reflected this. If you will look back at the previous season while Mayfield won quite a few races he also had some horrible finishes.

Just bringing this back to the top to see what everyone thinks of it now.

I still dont like it that well, but I'm kind of old school. I know it certainly hurt my play in the fantasy racing last year. i should have held out on more of the top ten guys till the end. seems like the other 33 cars in the race are so scared of wrecking one of them they just about move over for em. another reason why i dont care for it. its here to stay now, so i'll live with it. last year tony would have won it either way. the previous year busch wouldnt have, johnson would have.

To be honest, I actually like it better than I thought I would.

I am still at odds with it.....On one hand it is exciting to see but on the other hand I liked it the old Winston Cup way.....But if it had been that way last year Jeremy would not have had a guaranteed top 10 finish!

Ditto Nitro.
I like it more than I thought I would but I don't like the way it cuts down on the late season racing. I would agree with freedomrules in that I think there's a noticable difference in how hard the other drivers are racing. Maybe they oughtta just clear the track and let the top 10 run IROC cars ;D

I stick with my original opinion. Give a win more points if you want winning to count more.
I've all but given up though. If it weren't for a few guys I work with, I wouldn't even know who was doing what in NASCAR.

Last time TeamPetty was in an IROC event, it was a 10 lap 10 car race.
We set season records on the first two pit stops (just under 20 seconds) but our last one really kicked our butt and we finished 12th.
