My cholesterol is so high Its been making me black out. Its over double the high limit... They said it was too screwed up for diet to help so I got put on pills... Maybe I wont croak...

5 years ago, when I had the first physical I had gotten since I got out of the Army, my bad cholesterol (ldl) was 367. The doc about freaked out.
5 years of eating better (somewhat), Lipitor and 1000mg of fish oil everyday and I got it down below 150.

Mine aint quite that high, but I guess its bad enough... He said it is affecting my circulation so I assume Ive got some blockage? Never thought I would say that at 35...

Cholesterol pills make you feel like crap! If they make your muscles hurt, you need to tell your doc ASAP. It could be a side effect munch like muscle wasting disease that is NOT reversable. |

Yeah I quit taking them. I was hurting all over and felt like I had the flu. I gotta go in for more blood tests to make sure they didnt screw up my liver before he gives me more pills....

The Corporate Doc put me out on the 11th Ive been bored and farting around at the hunting club and Shooting range. Hopefully they will let me go back soon... I think Ive had about every test you can have done in the last couple months... Couldnt get an appointment to see the Neurologist until 10-6, Im hoping they will let me go back before then... Whats a little blacking out going to hurt?!

There are other medications that work in different ways that you can take that won't do that to you. It is a pretty rare side effect. You gotta get it down or they'll be stickin stints in your ticker...if you're lucky. Take fish oil in addition. It helps your body make good cholesterol and if you start makin the good kind, your body will begin to reduce makin the bad kind. One of them Docs should have gone over all this crap with you. |
