We went to hunt my buddies land in a different zone where anything was legal. My buddy really wanted us to take a some does but we only had one tag each left so I wasn't going to but ol Dalton was itchin' to bust one. After this past weekend it was archery only so he figured he should go ahead and burn his last tag. It didn't take too long when a large deer fed by us at 60 yds and Dalton put the .243 right in the shoulder. It turned out to be a 3 1/2 year old buck that had already shed it's antlers. I have never seen them shed this early. The base was about as big around as my thumb, deer probably weighed 140 lbs. no pics
