To make a long story short last Saturday I put up a blind in what I considerd a good spot.........Wed. we had 50mph+ winds so I figured I better go see how it was holding up (it wasn't) I found it only about 75-100 yds away. Have any of you ever put a blind up in 50+mph winds? It's not easy! So anyway dad went with me this morning, he watched the left and I took the right. It was the first time in 28 years of hunting together that we actually hunted "together" so that was great.
I've hunted in this place for three or four years now and have never saw another person until this morning, about 8:45 two rabbit hunters came in above us and the beagles struck a rabbit 50 yds from the blind........end of hunt! I did hear one of them say "What the hell is that thing down there?" (the blind) ;D

rabbit hunters were the reason I killed my first deer That's exactly what I was thinking. Not very nice to have them around, but they do get the deer up and moving.

Nitro, try setting one of these 12 x 14 things up in 60+ mph wind in the dark . Not a whole lot of fun. Glad you were able to hunt with your Dad. Been too many years since I hunted with my Dad. We don't have rabbit hunting here but you should see the deer we'd move with our dogs when pheasant hunting.
