Mine starts on April 4th this year and runs through May 17th.
I can't wait. On my way out to the ranch last week, I saw a flock of about 40 birds. They were not on my hunting property but they were close.
A while back, some jerks shot a bunch of the turkeys on our property out of their roosts and they have just begun to show back up. Last year I went a few times and never heard a gobble.

Headed to Va. this year, Wise County...Going to meet up with Hillbilly and a few other's that live there.4/18 for one week

Not going to hunt N.J. Coming to the mountains to hunt I see. It is the only way to go. Wise County is just across the state line (30 min or so) from me and Nitro. Let us know when/where you will be. |

VA SEASON OPENS APRIL 11, WITH YOUTH DAY ON APRIL 4 KY's youth season is the 4th and 5th too. The regular season doesn't open until the 18th.  Dang, I wish I had bought my VA tags this fall. |

When I work off tomorrow AM it will be turkey season! I already told em not to call me cause I aint working any OT! Im gonna come home and grab my junk and head over to Mike's dad's place. Ive never turkey hunted over there, but its close to the house....

I need it... I havent hunted more than once a season in about 3 years due to the pollen.... I USED to be better at Turkey hunting than deer. Well luckier anyways.
