I have the opportunity to get another week at the place we go. It would be Dec 19-23. Since it is a short week he will be charging $500 instead of $800...

Not a bad price, but as of right now I'm "thinking" about going to Western Ky during a week of rifle season in Nov. with my cousin..........I know if he can get a good buck out there year after year, I should be able to. (Hope he don't read this) It's also a little too close to Christmas to be away from the family for me.

www.bergerfarms.com/Its barely in Illinois. The Gander Mountain in Paducha is only like a 40 minute trip. If you look at my posts about hunting in Illinois you can see there is a lot of potential there.

I'm not the biggest deer hunter around, but that still looks nice. How long in advance do you need to know?

Im not sure how far in advance, Im still in the thinking stage... Id have to have 6 people dedicated to going to take the week. If I took that week Id be going twice... Yeah, its 5 days. They have some stands, but for the most part we've used climbers. I was about 15yds from one of their ladderstands on the last trip FWIW. I could have shot almost all of the deer I passed from it.

Hopefully some more on here will jump in, but I can most likey find another or two if needed. If we committ and pay half, and for some reason can't make it can someone else take that spot?
What about license/tags... included or how much $$ extra?

I think the tags are $360.00 for either sex. You get a buck and a doe tag for that price, and doe tags are over the counter $15. As far as I know someone can take your spot. Thats what I have been planning to do if my back screws up...

You do have to have your own food though, they only provide one meal.

The either sex tag was $411 this year. Mike is going to call and see if we can get this week as well. I think we can get him down some on the $5oo...
