Wyatt Steve was born at 1:42 today, December 11th, 2008. He weighed 6lbs 5oz and despite the fact he was 4 weeks early, seemed to be perfect.
Without going into details he is having trouble maintaining his breathing patterns, they call it breathing apnea(sp?). Right now he is in neonatal icu. I just came home to get some stuff and take Dalton to basketball practice.
The Dr says it is not uncommon for caucasian males born to mothers over 35 years old to have this and it should correct itself but let me tell you seeing my boy hooked up to all kinds of tubes and wires is more than this old man can take.
I'm not good at asking for favors but can yall please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Damn man. I hope it will get better quickly. Glad Mrs. 4 is doing well though. Sounds like he was pretty big to be that early too.

Thanks guys
Wyatt is doing fantastic. He is breathing normal and on his own and finally got some food this morning. They are going to continue to feed him throughout the day today, steadily increasing the amount. So far he has eaten just fine and hasn't had a breathing problem since yesterday morning so the Dr's and nurses seem to think all is well. Hopefully they will put him in a private room tonight so we can be with him and then if all goes well I expect we can bring him home Sunday or Monday. They released Robin this morning. We just came home to rest and get some stuff.

Good news..
It looks like he is out of the woods. He's gonna be coming home next week, hopefully as soon as Tuesday. I've got some pics I'll post as soon as I get them on photobucket.
