Made a few for the .260. All are at the minimum 36grns of Varget powder but Ive played with the COL. I made 4 at the COL of 2.755 that the federal premiums that shoot VERY well in it are, 4 at the COL of 2.775 that the Nosler book has as their COL, and 5 @ the COL of 2.794 that is .030" off the lands as far as I can figure...
Im about to play with making some .25-06. Im going to use IMR 4064 and leave the COL alone and just have different amounts of powder seeing as they will not touch the lands regardless of how far out they are seated.

Here is how the 300SAUM did after changing the scope from the Bushnell Elite 3200 to the STEINER. I really feel like I pulled the 3rd shot.. Here is the 260's groups. in order from above post. Group 2 was 3/4 vertical and 5/8 horizontal Here is the .25-06... 1- 44grains 4064 /2-45grains 4064 /3-46 grains 4064 /4-47grains 4064 /5-48grains 4064 /6-49 grains 4064

What bullet weight are you using in the 25? From the pics it doesn't seem like the rifle likes them.My 7mm would not shoot 162gr bullets for love nor money but likes everything else.
I'd also increase your powder charges by .5 increments instead of full grain jumps. It made a big difference for me when I was working up a load for my rifles.

The bullets for the 25 were 87 grains. I havent found any factory 120 or 117s that it liked and happened to see these in town.
