I didn't know where to post these but felt that yall would like to see the pics. These are some blue's that we (and I use that term liberally) caught last night. I give Dan all the credit, his boat, his jugs, all I did was help catch the bait.. Here's the total catch, 24 jugs, 10 fish. Six of them went over 25 lbs each and two were over 30 lbs, the largest was 36 lbs. The man.. The big ones.. As usual, the biggest one got away. When we pulled him up his head was as large as a volleyball but he straightened the 4-0 stainless hook, we guessed him to be around 45 lbs. Total weight was 230 lbs, not bad for 10 fish, two of them under 10 lbs.

Heck yes they are. The belly meat on the bigger fish is too tough but the rest is as good as any other size. If there is any yellow along the spine you cut that out but we didn't find any on these. If I am being picky, I'd take a bunch of 8 lb'ers, simply because they are easier to clean but it takes a lot less big ones to make a mess.
We got over 60 lbs of fillets out of these.

Wait, I think I just got your statement.
You don't have catfish in your area? Or you don't have Blue Cat's in your area?

Nice catch for sure! The one with the brown color to it looks more like a small flathead, might just be me though.
Life without catfish?..............that just ain't good!

It was a different fish for sure Nitro. We couldn't figure it out. It was colored up like a flathead or even a mud cat but we ruled out flathead because of the shape. I think it is a HUGE mud/yellow cat but if it is it may be a record of some kind. When we skinned it, the meat was snow white, like a blue.
Dan thought is was a cross-breed.

I'd say it would be a record if it was a mudcat. It could very well be a cross.

I always thought a Mudcat and a flathead were the same fish? I thought they just called em flatheads after a certain size?

Dude, for sure the best stringer so far.
Put em in the picture section just so WE dont forget this stringer at the end of the Summer.
Nice fish.
Where did you run the jugs at?

We caught them at Windsor Lake in Bella Vista, I can't devulge the secret bait...
Please, DO NOT enter them into the best stringer contest. I really don't deserve any of the credit and Dan is not the message board type.

Went to the creek today and got skunked. The bass are schooling at Clarks Hill now and I'll get up a good string next week. That is if the Bassmasters Elite Tournament didn't spook 'em too bad this weekend.
