With winter over and most of the snow gone we have alot of work ahead of us clearing trails. This big old spruce was heavy! We'll go back and recover it for firewood this summer.

Very cool! If we had that kind of open space in America you would probably go to jail for riding a gas powered vehicle up to a downed tree and then sawing it in two pieces. Open spaces are only to be enjoyed by bark eating vegans that depise the internal combustion engine and the burning of fossil fuel. And by no means should you improve or clear the land for use by filthy flesh eating humans.
Y'all enjoy and keep on sending those exciting pictures to us here in AmeriKa.

We're fighting that battle up here too SH.Last year we lost a big chunk to the granola crunchers. It'an area known as the Bighorn Wilderness. The siesmic trails and lease roads were already existing but there were those who couldn't stand the thought of off roaders sharing it.I've been back into some of those drainages and have never seen a hiker and probably wouldn't.
