We had some corn that we put in feeders hoping to get some pics of the deer in the area with the trail cam. After filling the feeders up we probably had 20 pounds of corn left that we poured out on the ground in another area. The deer didn't touch the corn in the feeders, but when the corn on the ground sprouted and got about 6 inches high the really worked the area over. My question is do deer prefer the sprouts over the corn? I know it was deer because there was tracks all over the place.

I have never had shelled corn sprout. I have had deer just abondon a feeder for whatever reason but they usually come back after a while. I think its probably because they find a more prefered food choice, acorns, soy beans ect.
