We are getting a late start on our food plots. I was trying to find some good seed mixes . We have 4-5 acre to plant in the first 2 acre I want a good clover mix, millet, wheat and oats. In the 3 acre we are goning to plant corn with something mixed in. I really don't know what yet. The plots are for deer and turkey. Does anyone have any good seed mixes?

Well I do not have a seed mix really but if i was going to plant corn I would mix sunflowers with it and brown top millet that way you would have plenty for the turkeys and doves as well as for deer In the clover part I think I would mix some turnips and rape in there. I hope this will help. Goodluck

It kinda depends on where you are at (geographically). What works in the Georgia coastal plain won't always work in the mountains of Tennessee. Check with a local DNR biologist for what works in your area.
I like rape, iron clay peas, & rye or wheat mixed equally. But thats in the Georgia swamps.
Most importantly (no matter what you plant) is to make sure the soil ph is good for what you are planting. Bad ph makes bitter food plots & deer won't eat it.
