The local plantation hunting manager had some clients wanting to go on a hog hunt with dogs to shoot a hog so I loaded up my ole track dog and another bay dog and volunteered. Right out of the box my red dog winded a 150 lb. hog about 250 yards across a big pond, made a circle of the pond and had her bayed and caught. I could have caught her but was waiting on the "greenhorns" to get there so I could leg her for them to shoot and she broke bay twice and headed for the wide blue yonder. In the chase, my red dog ran up on a bunch of shoats and caught one so I called her out and we went to try another spot. Within 5 minutes she had a boar about 200-220 lbs. bayed twice but once again the city folks couldn't get there on time and the boar broke and crossed I-75 about a half mile away so I called her off. The red dog did good considering I haven't hunted her since last June due to her having pups and deer season being in. If I would have had the whole "possee" running loose there would have been 3 caught hogs but the clients wanted to shoot a hog so I left the catch power at home.
