i am home...and out of shape....lol.
it was HOT and skeeters were feasting.
saw a group when we were drivin' in...we moved the truck up about 100 yds got out and started gettin' my bow out so we could stalk them but then two of the other property owners came in and spook the bunch.
then they proceeded to build a porch which spooked everything off.
we also saw about 5 deer...one for sure was a buck but i didn't get to count points.
all in all it was a great day....i finally got out and loved it...except for the heat and skeeters.

Those skeeters are what keep me off of our island this time of the year. We have to start after the first frost and stop when the temps hit the mid 70's. I love to hawg hunt but, I draw the line when the skeeters get as big as sparrows.  |
