;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D "ALAPAHA, Georgia (AP) -- Around these parts, they are calling it Hogzilla: a 12-foot-long wild hog recently killed on a plantation and now quickly becoming a part of local legend. The plantation's owner claims the hog weighed 1,000 pounds and had 9-inch tusks . But few people have actually seen the hog -- the only proof being a photo that shows the dead beast hanging from a rope. Whether the hog ever actually existed or is some sort of Faulknerian myth, it has definitely been the topic of conversation in small towns across southern Georgia." He's standing knee deep in a hole
I'm a little skeptical of this one too, but just wait until the anti's read that ""We killed it because we didn't want to take a chance of him getting away. Somebody else would have shot it," "
Still a big pig.

the anti's will freak!!! they should have at least mounted the head...or donated the meat to a homeless shelter or something.

i was thinkin' the same thing....i don't care how big that head was...it'd be on my wall. PEOPLE MOUNT ELEPHANT HEADS!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could this be too big? I've seen too many hoaxes on the internet to believe it without some official verification. It's too easy with today's technology to create a hoax. It is comon practice for trophy hunting photos to put the game animal WAY out in front of the hunter to give the appearance that it is larger.

EVEN if I had to make my wifey get a second job and we had to build a new addition on the house. I'd have that mounted on a wall!!!!! shadowwalker

I guess y'all have saw on tv or read by now that Hogzilla did exsist. He just wasn't as big. 8 feet long and estimated 800 pounds. I watched a special on National Geographic where they dug the remains and came to the conclusion on his size. Still a big ole pig in my book.

I just saw a documentary on The National Geographic Channel about this animal. I only caught the last 20 minutes of the hour long show. It was on today at 6:00 and it was actually called Hogzilla.
It's odd that they never took the meat off this animal and they buried the head in a different location from the body. I WISH I could have caught the entire show.
