I have a Johnny Stewart Electronic Caller and just found the Wild Feral Hog Calling Kit with 4 cassette tapes in Domestic Pig, Feral Piglet Distress, Feed'n Frenzy and Grun't Hogs.
The Feral Hog and Coyote seasons never close and I'm looking for a way to extend the hunting season. Thinking about ordering the Hog Calling Kit. Has anyone had any experience with these tapes for Feral Hogs?
I have the Crow Reveille, Cottontail Distress and Coyote Locator tapes and they work more times than not, but what about Hawg Call'n?

i haven't heard of the hog callin' one but that's cool.....you should check to see if it's legal before you go spending all that money.

Electronic callers are legal, in SC, for all non-game species, on private and WMA lands.
John Coit/Hatracked stated that he uses the Feed'n Frenzy tape, with good results, in the Pee-Dee swamps, where he operates a hunting lodge and that a friend of his does quite well with the Grunt'n.
Hogs are territorial and will respond to other hogs, especially over/near cornpiles, which are used to lure the hogs out of the swamps. Most are shot from treestands overlooking cornpiles poured out in the middle of access trails.
I hate to sit and wait, when I have to be totally quiet, so I'm looking to an alternative to make noise and hunt as well. Hog and coyote seasons never closes, so the summer months are open.
The only money spent will be for the tapes, either in the kit or individually....

if it does work it would be a lot cheaper in the long run than corn. Hogs will break you if you are trying to bait them up.

Here in Arkanasas we call hogs every Saturday during the fall. It goes a little something like this.....
