I need a new trigger assembly. The pull on the original is way too heavy and I'm finally going to do something about it. I found an adjustable replavcement the other day, but they wanted about $90 for it and $65 to install it if I can't do it myself.
Anyone know an online source for replacement parts? I can't remember who manufactured the assembly that I saw the other day, but I think I should be able to find a less expensive option. The gun is old and probably not worth $200 so I don't really want to put $100 - $150 into it. I'm pretty sure I can install it myself.

Thanks neighbor. I found a gunsmith that says he can adjust the trigger for $70 and if I don't see an option on what you send me, he'll get the job. I took the stock off and it's a lot different from what the guy at Ray's told me I could replace it with.

Bro.......that's what I was thinkin.
Almost every trigger can be adjusted SOME.
Call Larry Pockrus at Larry's Shooting Supplys in Lewisville. 972-434-0403
He's a topnotch smith. He's done a few things for me and he is CHEAP. Great guy too.
Do it on Tuesday or Wednesday next week and we can do lunch in downtown Lewisville. There is a FANTASTIC place over there for chicken fried steak.

I didn't think about Larry. I buy all of my reloading stuff from him so I'm usually over there a few times about this time of the year anyway. I'll give him a shout.
Ray's is @ Commerce & Sylvan, west of downtown Dallas. Don't forget your sidearm...it's a very ugly neighborhood. But they have more shotguns and rifles than I've seen anywhere else around here. Really impressive inventory. They've got a sister store at Preston & Forest, NE corner of the intersection.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll call Larry.

I'll see if I can get over there on Tuesday. That might be a good night to go.
I'd bet he could get it back to me pretty quick too. I want to get some rounds through it before I start trying to shoot it in again.

I was also looking for a site called sierrabulletsworldwide.com but it seems that they are gone now. It was an excellent reference for all aspects of shooting.
Anyway, how's it coming?

Completely forgot about heading to Lewisville last night. Little one started Kindergarten yesterday so I listened to the big stories and tried to keep from thinking about how fast she's growing up.
I haven't called Larry yet. I've still got a little time, but I want to have it out of the way so I can birdhunt on the weekends and not have to worry about getting it done at the last minute.
Thanks for the links.

Larry's just quoted me $35 on the deal. Those boys have got it going on.
Heading over there in the morning before they change their mind. Thanks again for reminding me about them.
