Gather dead leaves or acorns or live pine needles from the area you hunt. Boil for 10-15 minutes (make sure acorns are soft). Strain 'broth' from concoction. Put : 2 cups of broth, 2 cups hydrogen peroxide, 1/2 cup baking soda, & 1 oz non scented shampoo or soap in a clean 1/2 gallon jug. Mix thoroughly. Let stand for 1 week to 10 days. Pour in a clean spray bottle.
VOILA! Homemade cover scent.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll have to give that one a try.

we smoke ourselves with a fire before going in the woods.put pine needles and leaves in the fire.only takes a few minutes. that scent stuff i never use.a bear here has a great nose and with my fire scent he cant smell me.i caught on to this when i started shooting bears while getting my hands warm.
