Browns Feed and Seed in Evans GA has pigeons from time to time for $3 each. But it's hit and miss with them. You never know if he's gonna have them or not.
I've got a pigeon trap if your interested.

i get my pigeons from under interstate bridges. take a fish net, tape it to an extendable paint pole, and net them after dark.

gotta warn you, any that you don't shoot, will be used to the free meal, and hang around your house for awhile. been meaning to make a coop, so they could come and go, yet i could shut the door, and have birds when i want. plus, it keeps them strong fliers

How do you work a lab with pigeons? I used them for training pointers by tying a piece of garden hose to them. They could get up and fly but they wouldn't go far before they would give out and land.
Tell me a trick for training my lab.
Mike how do you use the ducks? I really need to come see you for some tips and tricks for Maggie, like the forced fetch thing.

Well all lab man gonna do with the pigeons is introduce dem good ol pups to birds ... I always use quail or teal for my pups , cause i got a taxidermist friend who always supplies me with alot of dead ducks that nobody wants or brings in extra ..... (And no he does not sell them he just gives um to me) ;D Short hair labman is the one who you need to get info on force fetchin . He know all bout it ...

for pups, trim the primary wing feathers on one (or both)wing, and toss out in the yard and let them chase it. gets their desire running.

I have been working on finalizing my bank proposal all weekend(except for a trip to a very good fishfry) and I meet with the SBA lady tomorrow @ 2:00PM. Hopefully I won't be working until 8:30 PM every night this week. Maggie needs to go for a ride in the truck again anyway. ;D
