Michigan House, and Senate approved a dove season in MI, and the bill now goes to Gov Granholm. I doubt she will sign the bill, but need some help. Go to www.clickondetroit.com/index.html and scroll down on the right side and vote for support. Thanks. |

I voted against it. I don't want y'all shooting up all those birds before we get a shot at 'em.  ;D Seriously I voted yes for it. The yes votes were were at 62% when I voted just now. |

Is MI one of those states that classify dove as songbirds? Maybe I'd have to agree...The sound of opening morning is music to my ears.

Yep, they are trying to say its a song bird, and shouldnt be hunted. Our Gov wants to put in on a ballot for the whole state to vote on. We got too many anti-hunters in the detroit area that will make sure it flops.
