Michigan House, and Senate approved a dove season in MI, and the bill now goes to Gov Granholm. I doubt she will sign the bill, but need some help. Go to www.clickondetroit.com/index.html and scroll down on the right side and vote for support. Thanks.

I voted against it. I don't want y'all shooting up all those birds before we get a shot at 'em. ;D Seriously I voted yes for it. The yes votes were were at 62% when I voted just now.

Tried to vote, but the question is gone. I hope you get your season.
Is MI one of those states that classify dove as songbirds? Maybe I'd have to agree...The sound of opening morning is music to my ears.

Yep, they are trying to say its a song bird, and shouldnt be hunted. Our Gov wants to put in on a ballot for the whole state to vote on. We got too many anti-hunters in the detroit area that will make sure it flops.
