Here is my new hunting buddy, at least we have hopes of her hunting ducks and geese this coming winter. She's pretty sweet and not the least bit bothered by cold water. I've never owned a Lab before they are very calm compared to pointing dog. ;D

SH, your gonna love that dog. I have a lab that came from South Dakotas bloodline of pointing labs, and I couldnt be happier with this dog. You wont find a better "people dog". Congrats, thats a beautiful dog.

She's not pointing thank the Lord. Max has broken me from pointers. Go she's 16 weeks. She's old enough for a little basic training and old enough she'll get to go out dove hunting and make the early goose/teal season this year. She should definitely be on her game when the full fledged duck season comes in here in December.

What a calm creature compared to a bird dog! I let her out last night while enjoyed a cigar and (finally) cleaned my shotgun. After I loved on her some she just layed down between me and my heater and slept.

That must be nice. My new pup would've chewed the shotgun, crapped the cigar, and fried herself on the heater.
Blue warned me that they could be hyper, but those Brittany pups are the wildest animals I've ever been around.

I've had a Britt and they will calm down with a little age. However a GSP or an English don't slow down until their teeth start falling out.

Short, Now you need to move closer to me and we can train together. Would like to show off my ylf, affectionately dubbed "Traveller the wondermutt". She had a few problems year before last, but this past year marked a really good retriever and hunting companion.

Max was hell on the decoys too! That is as long as the water didn't get too cold. I had to tie him to a tree in Sept. early goose/teal season to keep out of the dekes. You're right about that picture. It might out there on the net somewhere.
