Do you go by possession limits? I couldn't tell you if I do or not since I never look past the daily bag limits. If Im allowed 2 woodducks a day that what I'm killing if the birds are there. I'm not gonna stop shooting becuase I already have X amount in the the freezer.

I take possession limit to mean what I'm carrying at that moment - like if I were on an overnight hunt and have a limit in the cooler from the previous day. Once I have them at home in the freezer, those are out of the count.
I need to read up on it, but I think that's how our law reads too.

Yeah....what Go said.
If you got 30 birds in the freezer and they were all taken within legal daily limits, having 30 birds SHOULD NOT BE A CRIME.

Unfortunately guys bag limit means how many that day, and possession means how many in the freezer/cooler/toolbox of the truck/etc.... So for me tomorrow I can only take two woodies and then I can take two Tuesday and I can't take the daily limit anymore until I eat at least two of them. The good news for me is I can't count very well.

SH is right, possession means whatever you have in hand, in the freezer, or anywhere else that you are in control of. I dont know of it being enforced, unless you are a suspected poacher. I have been over the "possession" limit several times, but only until I start cooking. ;D
