Is Harriet Meyers a true constructionist? We know nothing of her legal opinions regarding constitutional issues. I mean she has held forums in which the invited speakers were the likes of Gloria Stienem and Rep. Pat Schroeder (D) Colorado. Or would the appropriate question be is GW Bush a man or just another politician worried about his approval rating? This man has disappointed me time and time again and this appointment was no exception. I have already contacted Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isaakson and asked that they vote against this nominee for the Supreme Court.

She worked in Dallas for several years and the nomination is all the buzz around here. Personally I don't know anything about her and I think that's what the rest of the nation is telling her too.
But not many of us regular folks know anything about a supreme court nominee before we hear what the cofirmation committees dig up or what the press says and that's probably not a good thing. Last thing I need is the media telling me what someone's finer points are.
She might be the best candidate for the job but apparently there aren't many people outside of W and the Texas law crowd that know beans about her. I think she's just someone else that W wants to reward for years of dedicated service.

All I know is gun-ban Schumer isn't screaming out against her like he did about Roberts so I don't want her.

Scuttled that one. Probably wasn't a good idea to nominate her in the first place but we still don't know if she'd have made a good SC justice or not. Just like you'd figure, there was Diane "Fiend"stein on Nightline last night blaming it all on the conservatives that questioned their leader. That way it'll be W's fault when the next candidate is a man and he's not replacing O'Connor with another woman.
Is there nothing in that town that happens without finger pointing and spin from both sides? I get so sick of politics getting in the way of running the country. It's a wonder they can get anything done at all.
