I guess you've heard by now that Haliburton has been overcharging the Gov't. for work in Iraq. Did y'all know that the slimy Republican Vice President used to be the CEO of Haliburton. I don't know about y'all but I ain't gonna vote for them scuzzy Republicans for president next year.
I'm gonna vote for someone we can all trust like AL Sharpton!
Apparently some investigative reporter (where were these type reporters during the last administration?) found out that Haliburton was fleecing the US taxpayers. WOW! There's a news item isn't it? A government contractor screwing the US taxpayers, who woulda thunk it?
The press really makes me want to hurl.

Dude,
Why waste a vote? Do you think there is a politician out there that is not slimy?
HELL NO!
So why waste a vote on some one just as slimy but has no morals or family oriented values and does not want you or me to have a gun? At least you'll know your President ain't throat banging a fat, ugly chick 1 floor above his spouse.
Politicians are like dry cleaners. They all suck, you just have to find one that sucks alot less than the others and stick with em.

AND.....
If that's ALL they could find??......well that tells ya right there they ain't that bad.
I mean no bad "land deal" that as soon as it broke left a trail of dead bodies a mile long?
Do you think there is a contractor out there that is not at least TRYING to fleece the US government for more than the service rendered? I'd bet a paycheck on that one if I was employed.

Guys it was a joke. ;D Y'all know me better than that.
I agree about the politicians and the government contractors. That's my point about the hypocracy of the press. Every darn company that gets a contract with the government is ripping us off. That's why I'm pissed. Why does some liberal wienie reporter decide to do an investigative report on Haliburton? Because Bush's right hand man used to work there and because of all the money that Haliburton(just like many other companies) donated large sums of money to the RNC. They need to look into every contractor that submits a PO to the gov't., not just the one that the Veep used to work for.
Besides if I don't vote for Bush I'll for the Libertarian candidate.

Brother......again, DON"T WASTE A VOTE!!
It happened when Perot ran.....we lost to the Oval Office Bang Man.
I agree, I think there has been talk years ago to form an agency to manage Gov. contracts. The general concensus was it would cost more to monitor it than we lose to the contractors.
Now, what we should do is threaten anyone caught with prosecution.

What upsets me most is since when I first heard about it the price Haliburton is charging has doubled. Their excuse is they are being ripped off by their Kuaiti sub-contractor.
More of the same usual BS from the government as far as I am concerned. I don't know about Haliburton themselves but I do know that one of their main subsidiaries Kellog Brown & Root has been putting the no-bid screw to taxpayers since the second world war.
I think this has little to do with Chenney and more to do with the bidness as usuall aspect of things. Chenney just happened to be the former CEO and a major stockholder in some lucrative companies.
And I plan on throwing my vote away on a Libertarian canidate. I cannot in my good concious support either of the major political parties on the national level.

Red.....
KEEP THE GUN LAWS IN MIND WHEN YOU VOTE!!
If you toss a vote on a candidate that will NEVER MAKE IT TO THE WHITE HOUSE, we all risk the loss of that "would be" vote to the democrats that want to rid us of our guns and the right to hunt.

I think I'll stick with Miruss's strategy on this. I'll wait around for the details from the comfort and safety of my couch. RPG + tanker truck = bad news.
Halliburton has been in that area of the world for a long time. They know how things work there, a lot better than the pansy-ass media taking pot shots at an administration. Don't think it's anything else.
I guess I didn't know that Brown & Root was the devil. They kept roofs over heads and food on tables for a lot of folks I grew up with who worked the oil patch or had family that did.

If I recall right from the article I read the Army was providing the security. Like I said what gets me is the fact that in the last month or so since I read the article the price had doubled. I don't understand why we couldn't use logistics units in the first place. They have tanker trucks. They have armed hummer's etc. (Well I do understand why not its just not the way things are done.)
I am not a fan of Brown & Root. I have worked on a few of their jobs even one of those no-bid cost plus deals.
Really the problem is more the way the no-bid government stuff works. If you are one of those lucky contractors, buddy you are in. There is a grading contractor down the road that is in with FEMA and the Core of Engineers. Lets just say the keep the weather channel on and bust out the bubbly when a Hurricane hits land. Anyway I don't think this is Chenney pulling any strings. The involved companies have been involved since before he was around.
And hunt if enough people get fed up and vote Libertarian we may actually get some gun laws reformed. My not voting Republican dosent give a vote to the Democrats. With this latest crop of yahoos one has to wonder how much longer they can survive anyway. They did have a strong base here in the south and Zell Miller has even said this latest crop needs to be just turned under.

Haliburton has been part of every after war effort since Vietnam.
No I am not upset with them. If I owned that company I would get all I could get also.

The liberal media is trying everything they can to bring the popularity of the current administration down. The war in Iraq is going well. The economy is doing better. They are shooting in the dark for any way to pull a vote or two. What about the Clinton's & Whitewater? Some pretty shady dealing, but the media down played their involvement. What bothers me is that these biased 'news reports' actually sway votes.
